Guest Feedback for Cobblestone

Our visitors’ book at Cobblestone is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Cobblestone.

Excellent warm and welcoming cottage. We loved the Nespresso machine! The property was immaculately clean and very comfortable.

This is a lovely cottage with all home comforts.

Cobblestone is in a quiet location close to the coast which is great.

We enjoyed the location, price and the fact the property had a lovely interior.

Beautifully presented cottage, it was clean and had everything you could possibly need!

Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and clean. There was a comfortable bed king size with no foot board.

perfect home from home, exceptionally clean and one of the best equipped cottages we have stayed in (and we regularly rent holiday cottages)!! Great quiet location!! that was quiet, secluded with easy access to local amenities.

We loved the cottage as a whole. Because the weather was better we’re able to use the outside space more which was good. We found the property very comfortable inside and liked all the little decorations. We would recommend Coquet cottages to anyone looking to holiday in Northumberland. The standard of accommodation is very good and makes for a very homely stay.

Absolutely wonderful! The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Even the dog had been thought of! We made use of the welcome pack and the boys loved theirs, a lovely thought to think of them too. The location was perfect, lovely and quiet but nearby to shops and the harbour. We liked the fact we could have a walk through tour on the web page. The cottage was good value for money, modern yet charming, it was light and airy and we loved the open plan feel. Very spacious for a 2 bed property. Furnished well and we enjoyed the fluffy towels and white company toiletries! Many thanks for a wonderful stay we will definitely book with Coquet Cottages in the future.

The decor of the property was lovely, very fitting. The parking was ideal, and the whole package was perfect. We didn’t expect the basket, but to arrive to fresh bread and scones was delicious. And the wine was an added bonus! The little sun trap garden was perfect, as we sat out with a drink and our books, which was very relaxing. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this cottage again, and will definitely use the company in future holidays as your range of properties are very appealing.

The place was fantastic, one of the best we have stayed in, in the UK, it was spotless and very well equipped. The welcome basket was really nice, i liked the wine and my husband liked the scones. The dog bits were really unexpected and not what you normally get, so a lovely little touch!

Very nice cottage which was well equipped and clean throughout. The welcome basket was very good quality. My sons loved the sweets! I appreciated that essentials were included, for the following morning’s breakfast.

Cobblestones is very quiet and comfortable, we have really enjoyed our stay. We found everything we needed and the enclosed garden was great for our dog Tilly, so were able to sit outside together. There was also two well equipped bathrooms.

We have just returned from a stay at the above cottage which is about a 10 minute walk outside of Seahouses in North Sunderland. The cottage is set back off the main road in a private courtyard of about 12 dwellings so it is very quiet, yet within easy reach of the town. We were able to head out on walks to Bamburgh and Beadnell directly from the cottage which was great. We walked via the road to The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh for lunch (about 3 miles), which gave fantastic views of the castle as you got closer to Bamburgh. Then we walked back along the beach afterwards. The standard of the accommodation, fixtures, fittings and bedding was excellent. I was also impressed with the standard of cleanliness throughout the property. There is a small outside seating area – perfect for an evening G&T (unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough for us to make use of this). Service is always a consideration when we book anything and the service received from the team at Coquet Cottages was excellent throughout. Given the constant changes around Covid-19 they have followed up with emails and then we had a courtesy call a few days prior to check-in. It all felt very personal and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend both Coquet Cottages and Cobblestones. we have already rebooked with Coquet Cottages to stay in Amble next time.

The cottage was lovely, very well equipped and in a good location. The welcome basket was a very nice surprise as we weren’t expecting it. We liked the whole cottage, it was nice to have the little garden to sit in too.

To have a good quality cottage available which accepts dogs is rare! The kitchen was fully stocked as we’d expect and the fresh bread and scones from the welcome pack were lovely.

The property was very clean, nicely furnished and had a cosy feel. It also allowed pets which was very appealing to us. We loved the bread in the welcome pack too!

Loved the little garden area which was great to sit in and the dog also loved it. Really convenient location for all amenities including the beach. Generally a lovely cottage in a great location.

We were delighted with this cottage, the moment we walked in it felt cosy and comfortable. This cottage was in a good location and also next door to our friends. We liked everything in the Hamper! It was a lovely surprise. We were really pleased to see the dog welcome pack – a lovely touch.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed here it is a beautiful cottage with a warm and cosy feel to it. Lovely decor and really nice welcome pack for both us and our little dog. We received a lovely thank you card with handmade chocolates and prosecco for regularly booking with Coquet Cottages, very thoughtful thank you.

We stayed here for 3 nights with our two daughters, aged 3 and a half and 1 and a half. The cottage was lovely; beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The beds were really comfortable too. The cottage even had toys for the children (the dressing up box and duplo went down especially well). We would certainly stay here again and would look to stay in another Coquet Cottage if we were to stay anywhere else in Northumberland.

Stayed at the Cobblestone cottage North Sunderland from Friday 5th April until Monday 8th April, cottage is spotless and very well kitted out. Just what was needed for this long weekend break. Did lots of Walking – Saturday beach to Bamburgh castle and bus back, Sunday low Newton to Dunstanburgh castle and onto Craster and back again. Then on the Monday Craster round trip along the coastal route path and lunch at the Jolly Fisherman, all excellent. All weekend very lucky with the weather – no rain but low cloud and misty. Will go back and would use this cottage again.

We booked Cobblestone near Seahouses for a long weekend in March. The property itself is perfect for a couple – close enough to Seahouses to enjoy all the amenities but away from the hubbub. We were blessed with some good weather and could enjoy the outside space. The garden is small and facing the courtyard but the placing of the bushes make it a very private space. When it turned colder the property was lovely and warm and had a great selection of books and DVDs. A welcoming and well equipped home from home in a great location for walking and driving to other places. Would highly recommend!

I’ve previously booked with Coquet Cottages and the booking process is very straight forward. The information pack in Cobblestone was very comprehensive. Cobblestone was also very clean and comfortable with a good standard of decor.

Had an absolutely great stay at the very cosy and comfortable Cobblestone Cottage, where we spent an indulgent long weekend break with our pussycat Merlin who greatly enjoyed snoozing in his basket by the French doors and exploring his little terraced garden! The cottage is well appointed and thoughtfully equipped. We found the cottage a great base for exploring the many numerous delights of Northumbria (who knew?) and has whetted our appetite for many return visits.

From the moment we walked into Cobblestone, we knew we were going to have a comfortable stay – and we have! The cottage is beautifully appointed and the décor is very well suited to a seaside holiday home. Our Labrador Wella made herself at home and was so comfortable she didn’t attempt to join us upstairs. We needed a rest and have certainly had a good one! Thank you!

Thank you for a lovely stay at Cobblestone Cottage. The cottage is very comfortable and very well presented. We really appreciated the extra touches such as the toys for the children. There is lots to do in Northumberland and we will be back again!

Many thanks to Diane and Kevin for the welcome to Cobblestone. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and well equipped. The décor is top class and I found the bed wonderfully inviting for an older chap who finds sleep often too hard to come by. I slept like a log, mind you the fresh air might have had a hand in that.
