Guest Feedback for Cuthbert’s Cottage
Our visitors’ book at Cuthbert’s Cottage is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.
Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Cuthbert’s Cottage.
Cuthbert Cottage is in a great location, the property was welcoming, clean and comfortable. The welcome basket was great which exceeded our expectations.
A spacious, comfortably furnished and very well equipped cottage, with a very generous welcome basket. The kitchen appliances were high quality and worked. Plenty of good crockery and glasses. The welcome basket was of excellent quality, and it was lovely to have so many items we then didn’t have to buy. It really added to our feeling very welcomed at the cottage. There was a very comfortable lounge and snug. The wifi was good too. The garden was lovely with the lavender bushes and seating outside.
We have visited expensive hotels who do not realise a group of three people need three scones! So we really appreciated the attention to detail. It felt like a treat coming to the cottage not just a roof over our heads. The office were very helpful as well when I contacted them.
The Northumberland coast is magical, steeped in history with an amazing landscape, beaches and big skies. We loved this property, we have stayed in a lot of holiday homes and this must be the most well equipped that we have been too, nothing was overlooked. We walked North to Bamburgh on the beach in a chilling beautiful sun, returning on the coastal path. Also south from Beadnell to Low Newton by the Sea (The Ship Inn is a must). We visited to celebrate our anniversary and it has been perfect in every way. Seahouses harbour has an outdoor fresh fish stall. We got enough to last us till next time.
Amazing property! The welcome basket was totally unexpected, but a very classy touch. We enjoyed the space and furnishings.
Thank you Rob and Gemma for a very lovely stay at your very cosy and comfortable cottage. We had a fantastic week, exploring some of Northumberland and wish we could have stayed longer. Highlights were the beautiful sandy beach walk at Seahouses, Hadrian’s wall and Alnwick Castle, walking in the Cheviot hills and Cragside. It was always so good to come back to Cuthbert’s Cottage after a long day. We hope to return next year for another stay! Many thanks for all your help and advice.

We had an excellent week in a lovely cottage, there was lots of space. The cottage was well looked after and very comfortable.
Absolutely gorgeous, we couldn’t fault this property in any way. The layout was perfect for us and had plenty of space for the whole family. We felt there was something for everyone in the welcome basket, it was very personal. There was even a beautiful vase of flowers (weirdly my favourite Lisianthus). We would like to thank the owners, for the outstanding cleanliness and thoughtful presentation of the cottage.
Beautiful house, very well equipped and beautifully decorated, spacious with 3 bathrooms and well located for exploring
A home from home.
Fantastic property decorated and maintained to very high standard. Warm welcome and much appreciated essentials on arrival. Great location. First class service and communication from Coquet Cottages. Essentials such as tea bags, milk, biscuits, bread, butter and marmalade which meant we didn’t need to go shopping straight away after a long journey. The flowers and wine were also much enjoyed. High standards of cleanliness, decoration and facilities.
As always, this cottage is a truly magnificent holiday home. Very clean and exceptionally high specification throughout. Little touches add the luxurious feel of the cottage. Beautiful location, with the added benefit of ample on-site parking. Third consecutive year at this property – it’s a great place to holiday.
