Guest Feedback for Hare Cottage

Our visitors’ book at Hare Cottage is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Hare Cottage.

Had a fantastic week. Some good interesting walks just following footpaths on the OS Map provided. Good torchlight walk back from Warkworth after visiting the Sun Hotel. Beach walks too at Alnmouth, Warkworth and Low Hauxley just south of Amble. The Running Fox at Shilbottle is very good, lovely bread and cakes. If you go for Afternoon tea, make sure you are really hungry! Thanks for a good week and a Happy New Year to you all!

Came to Hare Cottage Three Years ago and was very Impressed with the Quality of everything. Three years on and nothing has changed our opinions on Coquet Cottages. This place is second to none and we have once again thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The welcome pack is perfect and provides everything to settle you in. We will definitely be returning very soon. Thank you Coquet Cottages.

We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Our two girls loved the bunk beds and sitting and looking out the window. The welcome hamper was a really nice touch. We will be back. Thank you

This is our first visit to Northumberland and we enjoyed every minute of it! The cottage is lovely and very well equipped and we actually relaxed! The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The beach at Bamburgh is lovely and the dog loved it too – liked The Copper Kettle for lunch. Would highly recommend: Lollo Rosso in Morpeth – the lasagna was one of the nicest i’ve had! If you go, go between 5-6 it is happy hour. We went on Tuesday evening and by 6 it was really busy so best to book. Loved Warkworth – very pretty. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack – a very much appreciated special touch. Hopefully we’ll be back again.

Quiet area, beautiful views, comfy and cosy. Friendly neighbours and within easy access of all the local visitor attractions.

Great cottage, well equipped and beautifully decorated. The children enjoyed the spyglass and looking for deer across the fields. We even saw a hopping hare. Fantastic location as well for exploring the many sites of Northumberland.

The Dailly Family, April 2019

Lovely cottage, great family break. All essentials provided for us and our dog in the welcome basket!! Quite peaceful location.

As the saying goes “Practically perfect in every way”. We were delighted with Hare Cottage, everything was to our taste, the fixtures and fittings were totally to our comfort and the welcome pack was most appreciated.

Praise all round thank you. We had a 7 hour journey to get to Hare Cottage and Northumberland but loved it and hope we can spend more time with you in 2018.

Beautiful cosy cottage with lovely homely touches we enjoyed a great weekend there. Highly recommend and Warkworth is stunning.

We have stayed with Coquet Cottages now for many years and Hare Cottage is one of our favourites!

An amazing cottage. The attention to detail and furnishings are fantastic!

Lovely cottage, lovely weather. Lots of hares at the end of the lane and deer at the back of the cottage. We will be back. Housekeeper should get a medal for keeping the cottage looking so lovely. Going back to Fenwick Gallery in Warkworth – one of the top 3 galleries anywhere!

Felt like home but better. Loved the fabulous views! This is the fourth time we have booked with you, and will definitely book again.

Totally brilliant. Thanks so much for everything. Totally fell in love with the area and the cottage. Very hard to find anything not to like! Keep doing what you are doing so brilliantly.

Nothing would have improved our holiday, it was perfect. Didn’t want to come home!

Loved the cottage, had nice walks, nice weather and like the log fire. Rowan loved her doggie welcome basket and we liked ours too.

Wonderful weather and wonderful cottage and area. Great walks on the many lovely beaches. Fenwick Gallery in Warkworth good – take your purse! Saw many hares over this 3 day weekend and a great range of birds. Cottage very warm and cosy and has everything you could want.

Another enjoyable Coquet Cottages holiday – very relaxing and comfortable. Have visited new places including Morpeth and Druridge Bay. Can recommend Sea Salt and the Harbour Chippy in Amble for good food. Many thanks to the team at Coquet Cottages.

Hare Cottage was wonderful. Very homely and well equipped. Great long walk from Warkworth beach to Alnmouth. Good seal spotting and rock pooling at Craster. Can recommend kippers for breakfast! Good food at The Joiners Arms at Low Newton by the Sea and great walk down to the beach where you can have a drink at The Ship Inn. George loved the beaches and was worn out every day. Welcome pack gratefully received by all. We will definitely stay again and recommend Coquet Cottages. Thanks!

Beautiful cottage, well equipped and dog and child friendly, thank you!

A lovely cottage – very well equipped. We saw two hares on arrival! Warkworth Castle was great as is the beach. Thank you for the great welcome pack. Alnwick Castle gets the best castle vote from our 6 year old son! The Sun Inn in Alnmouth does great food.

A perfect little retreat! Druridge Bay nearby is a wonderful spot for dog walking and the Mason’s Arms in Warkworth village great for lunch (dog-friendly too!). The welcome pack was a nice little surprise and Poppy couldn’t have agreed more. Thank you Hare Cottage for such a lovely weekend.

A lovely cottage furnished to a high standard as you would expect from Coquet Cottages. So so quiet too. Best castle was Warkworth, best beach was Bamburgh for walking and Alnmouth for shell and pebble collecting. It was a lovely weekend with cold but dry, sunny weather. Thank you for the welcome pack, it was much appreciated.

A wonderful place to relax and refresh for the New Year ahead. Northumberland is the most beautiful part of the country. See you again soon! Thank you, the cottage was very beautiful and clean and thank you for the lovely treats you left.

This cottage was so cosy, we loved looking through the telescope at night and loved sitting next to the fire after walks from the beach. We really loved it – enjoy!

I’ve never been so pleased with holiday accommodation and coming from Northumberland myself, I was so pleased.

Too short a weekend! The cottage is lovely. Can recommend mulled wine in front of the fire!

A wonderful week long stay in a gorgeous comfy cosy cottage. Many miles walked and ran, amongst our favourites are Craster, Low Newton (home brewed pint), Thrunton Woods and Druridge Bay Country Park. Also try the cakes and hot chocolate at Cabosse in Warkworth village – delicious!

Three nights has not been enough! What a beautiful cottage and warm welcome, thank you. We would especially recommend Crasterm in particularly the yummy smoked kippers from Robsons and impressive Dunstanburgh Castle. We hope to visit again!

Fabulous stay, cottage very comfortable and beautifully furnished. Weather has been good, super walks and good food. Enjoyed the Jolly Fisherman at Craster for lunch and Sea Salt and The Old Boathouse in Amble for dinner. We will be back!

One of the best cottages we have ever had! It was excellent – I wouldn’t hesitate to use you again or recommend to others. Well done!

Cottage smelled fantastic throughout our entire stay – In fact I ended buying some of the Fired Earth Wax Lyrical sticks for home!

We are extremely impressed with everything – we will use Coquet Cottages again!

It had the three bedrooms we required and looked to be an extra special cottage, which it was. The free WiFi helped also having two teenage children who don’t like to be separated from their devices for too long. Will definitely book with Coquet Cottages again loved our stay.
