Guest Feedback for Honeysuckle House

Our visitors’ book at Honeysuckle House is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Honeysuckle House.

Well equipped house in a great location, there was off street parking too.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely home and the welcome hamper was very much appreciated by all. Apart from Tuesday the weather has been kind, plenty of river walks and time spent on the beautiful beaches. All the pubs in the village are good, the most relaxing is the Warkworth House Hotel and the food is delish! Our last day was spent at Craster which is worth a run out to as there is a nice walk to the castle and the kipper shop for supplies to take home is great. Once again many thanks and we are already looking forward to returning next June.

The house was clean and well presented on arrival.

Perfect! Great location, great quality. This has been a lovely break and we are looking forward to our next break already.

Everything was spot on. The welcome basket provided enough so that we didn’t have to make a trip to the super market straight away.

Lovely property with everything we could need for our weeks holiday in a great location. It was dog friendly, and had several bathrooms.

What a lovely, cosy cottage! Everyone in the family was delighted when we saw it and inside did not disappoint either. It was everything that we had hoped for. It was lovely to have an area that the children could have to themselves. My husband and I had the top room and we spent some time in the garden and kitchen. The children would take themselves off to watch some TV upstairs after tea. It was great to have a dedicated parking space – hunting around for parking is a holiday killer for me. The best part about it was the location and how close it was to the beach, along with being close to the village! It was so good to arrive somewhere where the reality was exactly the same as the marketing. We were so impressed by how clean, tidy and new everything looked. We really felt like we were in a home. Beautiful clean oven. The layout worked well for our family and we didn’t feel like we had to all be cramped in together or in our rooms. I felt like the children could have their own space, but there wasn’t so much space that they were completely distant from us.

Lovely property with everything we could need for our weeks holiday in a great location. We were not expecting the basket so enjoyed the surprise, including the basket for the dog. It was all great, we had some lovely walks along the river too.

We have had an amazing time here at Honeysuckle House and it has been the perfect base for our Northumberland adventure. We can recommend all the beaches such as Warkworth, Low Newton and Alnmouth. Bertram’s in Warkworth for food. The Sun and The Masons Arms was nice for a drink. We ate smoked Kippers from Craster. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Enjoyed our stay very much. Views of the river and castle were amazing. The cottage suited our needs and was great for a weekend getaway. Bertrams was our favourite place to eat. The Red Lions at Alnmouth was nice and had great pizza. The beach was great to walk along and wash all the stress away. Thank you for the lovely hamper and they steps taken to make sure the cottage felt safe. We are going home refreshed.

The style and décor, parking, garden and WiFi were all benefits to us. The bread was delicious! in the welcome basket. All of it! We enjoyed all of it and the property was in an excellent location. Very clean and had everything we needed.

Lovely house. It had all we need and more as it looked onto the river located in Warkworth village. It is modern and in good condition. Well looked after. Plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Plumbing that worked well. Lovely views.

This is an excellent property, we would not hesitate to booking again. It was dog friendly had off street parking, along with an excellent main bedroom with an en suite. There was a lovely living in the ground floor with a kitchen, dining room, small lounge which worked well for us.

Honeysuckle House in a quiet residential area, but close to the centre of the village and only a short walk to the beach. The description on the website was perfect and the whole of the cottage was brilliant and I would definitely stay there again.

Lovely stay in one of our most favourite places, Warkworth!

This is a well appointed and comfortable house, where we had a relaxing break. It has been pleasant to do normal things in the strange times we are living in. This is our 4th stay with Coquet Cottages, an I have no doubt we will return. Thank you for the welcome pack and the Temple Spa goodies.

Fabulous week in this beautiful house. We felt very safe in these uncertain times. We did some fabulous walks along the coastal path and stunning beaches. Thank you for the lovely welcome pack, and the attention to detail throughout the house. We will certainly be back when we can.

The cottage was lovely, what an amazing location with great views! We felt completely safe all the time we have been here and felt we could really enjoy our week! There’s been tonnes of walking (the most I’ve done all year I think!) in and around the village and the dog has loved it. The welcome packs were a lovely touch and really helped us get started. Breakfast at Bertram’s is definitely a must for anyone staying here!

This was a comfortable house which was really clean and had a great welcome pack. Although the cottage slept four people, there were three bedrooms which was great with having teenage children.

We absolutely loved staying here. The house was beautifully furnished, well equipped and clean. The children liked the chocolate buttons from the welcome pack and i liked the wine! The dog towel and treats were a lovely bonus.

Very clean property. The house has a fresh feel to it. The Location is good to get to the village, river, beach, Amble and various other locations. The welcome pack was marvellous (dog loved hers too!). There was a variety of goodies with included scones and basics- Bread, butter salt/pepper, tea and coffee, local beer and dog treats!

Lovely property in a great location which has a really welcoming feel to it. The welcome basket had a really nice variety of products, especially liked the arrival bottle of wine after a long journey. Really good customer service both pre-arrival and once we had commenced our stay. Couldn’t fault anything.

The house was beautifully clean and everything functioning very well. We felt welcomed and that we were having a special holiday.

We liked the comfort and quality of the interior, the flowers and the dog basket were great! Really enjoyed the scones and fresh bread. All a lovely touch, thank you.

Fabulous house in a very convenient location. We liked Everything in the Welcome Basket – fabulous and full of goodies. Beautiful interior very comfortable and easy work to pubs and beach

Loved this place – great location. We enjoyed the space and wanted to try one of the new builds in this area – we had previously stayed at Rebecca House but enjoyed the fact this property had an upside snug room. We enjoyed the items for our four legged friend and the fresh bed. We really liked the open kitchen and snug room.

Wonderful house. We love all the Coquet Cottages properties at Warkworth equally. So happy with Coquet Cottages! The house was bigger than we expected which was nice, we love the quiet location especially not hearing the road traffic as we do at home, as with ever cottage, very clan and decorated beautifully. We’ve fallen in love with Warkworth and try and visit twice a year now, All your properties are so lovely, and your customer service is great. Thank you.

Thankyou for a wonderful stay in beautiful Warkworth. An ideal spot and a gorgeous house, plus “very welcome” welcome packs for us and Hollie! A really lovely and relaxing weekend despite Storm Lorenzo’s visit. Our 4th visit to Northumberland in 2 years and we’re already looking forward to our next stay with Coquet Cottages – easily the best holiday let company with the highest standards. You can’t fail to have a fantastic time in this stunning village and surrounding areas and beaches. Thanks again!

Very smart, Beautifully presented on the website. Location, dog friendly, two bathrooms, private parking for two vehicles. Beautiful property. Wide range of goodies – best we’ve ever had.

Lovely holiday in a very lovely house. Our third visit to Warkworth, the house is in a perfect location near to the river Coquet for a lovely walk, near all eateries, pubs and tea rooms.

We had a fabulous stay at Honeysuckle House. Very cosy, well catered for and lovely treats to greet us on our long 10 hour drive from Suffolk! Lovely place to explore on our doorstep! Can thoroughly recommend The Running Fox Cafe – amazing cakes. This part of the worl is so beautiful will definitely love to return one day. Skip had a ball. Thank you Coquet Cottages for a lovely stay and a much needed break.

We have just enjoyed a glorious family holiday in Warkworth, staying in the very well appointed and comfortable Honeysuckle House. The photos on Coquet Cottages’ website are a true representation of the property. This was our first holiday as dog owners so we were slightly apprehensive! The location of Honeysuckle House is perfect for everything you would want to do as you are so close to both the beautiful river walks, the pubs, cafes and shops in the village and the castle. Due to being on 3 levels, the house is modern, fresh and spacious. It was well equipped for all aspects of self catering and the welcome basket(s) left by Coquet Cottages was a lovely warm gesture. A couple of points worth noting about the accommodation are that there is currently no washing machine, which Coquet Cottages do highlight and offer a washing service if required. The enclosed patio area to the rear is lovely and we enjoyed breakfast out there on a few mornings. It is totally secure for your dog but there is no grass so understandably, it is not allowed to be used as a toilet area for dogs. This was easily overcome by taking the dog on the lead across to the riverside which was beautiful early in the morning. We totally fell in love with Warkworth and the surrounding area, with its choice of amazing beaches on your door step and dog friendly establishments. Visits to Fenwick Gallery, Bertram’s Coffee Shop and The Masons Arms are ‘musts’!

The Browns, July 2019

Beautiful house. Really appreciated the excellent kitchen and bathrooms. We’ve packed quite a lot in! Highlights! The Post Office Bistro – pre booking ahead essential, Cabosse – fab ice cream and chocolate, Bertram’s – great lunch spot, have blankets in the courtyard! Barker Books & Station Buffet – an amazing place and fab food, Bamburgh Castle – worth the trip, Cragside – one of the best NT houses we’ve been to. Dave Gray’s Coquet Island Cruise – brilliant value for money and cash only! Spurelli’s in Amble – wonderful coffee and sundaes, Warkworth Castle – must do, The beach at Warkworth is brilliant, Best beach of all – Embleton. We didn’t do too much walking as i am recovering from a broken leg!

Gilly and Dave, June 2019

We’ve had a wonderful stay in the house which has most things you could need for a stay in this amazing area. Bertie has thoroughly enjoyed his walks along the river and Jacks enjoyed taking plenty of photos of the landscape and wildlife. For dog friendly places to eat, Bertram’s and The Warkworth House Hotel are good in the village. We can thoroughly recommend the walk from Warkworth to Alnmouth and once in Alnmouth The Sun & The Red Lion are both dog friendly. Thank you all so much.
