Guest Feedback for Mariner’s Cottage

Our visitors’ book at Mariner’s Cottage is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Mariner’s Cottage.

Excellent cottage, great facilities, lovely quality interior. Keep up the good work, excellent company. Thank you.

The welcome basket was perfect, it had everything we might have needed and more. The dog treats were especially welcome! It was in a great location, with comfortable beds and was well equipped.

This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location with the Rookery church nearby that had roosting birds. There was a huge range of children’s books and toys. The property was five minutes from Rocky Cove at Rumbling Kern and there was a well stocked village shop. The owner was very attentive and we enjoyed eating the scones provided.

The layout of the cottage with downstairs bedroom and wet room which made it ideal as we were holidaying with our daughter son in law and grandchildren – they were able to use the bedrooms etc upstairs. The location of the cottage is great as it is next to good pubs and is an easy walk to the beach, along with easy access to the other beaches and attractions in the area plus the golf.

The property appealed to us due to the location and how close it was to the beaches and places to eat (outside) plus local the convenience shop. There was designated parking which was also very welcome. Mariner’s was light and airy with spacious rooms.

We loved our stay at the Mariner’s. The house was lovely and had everything we needed, it was also in a great location.

This was our first stay in Beadnell which was beautiful. Lovely accommodation, as the website indicated, but even more stunning in real life. We liked that the property had a wet room and a ground floor bedroom. The beds were very comfortable. The cottage was decorated beautifully and very comfortable.

We liked that the property had disabled access and a downstairs shower room, which helped my disabled mum who is in a wheelchair. We also enjoyed the wine!

I was really impressed with the cottage which was in the perfect location in Beadnell! It was furnished to a high standard with super comfortable beds and everything was sparkling clean. All the extra touches with the welcome basket and the white company hand soaps and shower gels were an absolute treat.

Beautiful cottage which is well equipped, spacious, cosy, easy to park and in a lovely location.

Very homely, comfy, and warm. Location fantastic. Cannot fault this property. We would return. Dog friendly. The property appealed to us, parking and enclosed courtyard. Beaches and pubs in walking distance. We liked the Wine, milk and doggy treats. The biscuits were different and really nice. Everything was great. That’s why we like to book your cottage, They are always spot on.

Everything about the cottage was really lovely. It had absolutely everything you could ever need. The linen and toiletries were of a high standard too. We would definitely recommend this cottage to others wishing to stay in Beadnell.

Lovely selection of items that we were not expecting after a long drive picking up family members. The flowers were a very welcoming touch. As a family we have stayed in a few holiday cottages over the years and Mariners is definitely in the top 3. It’s location, quality of fixtures and fittings met all our family requirements. Quality of the furnishings and fittings and all the little extras such as dish washer tablets, quality soap on all the sinks and lovely towels included.

We booked Mariner’s last minute (the day before our trip!). The welcome basket was lovely and very useful to receive milk, as the first thing we usually like to do upon arrival is enjoy a cup of tea! The complimentary pastries were also gorgeous.

If we cold live by the coast this is where we would want to be – a proper home from home. Spotless, well equipped and so comfy! Could not fault it.

Our 4th autumn visit to Mariner’s – this time a little later but still very good weather and a lovely stay. Highlights this time were Alnwick Castle, Barter Books and Grace Darling Museum.
