Guest Feedback for Number Nine

Our visitors’ book at Number Nine is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as visiting the beautiful city of Durham or taking a fun-filled day trip to Beamish Museum, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Number Nine.

A truly exceptional cottage equipped and furnished to a very high standard – probably the best we have stayed in! An ideal location for visiting the area. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your exquisite property. We will no doubt seek to return.

A really enjoyable week living in comfort and enjoying the walks. The house is wonderfully well equipped and spotlessly clean. There are plenty of things to do in Durham.

Fabulous cottage! Number Nine has everything you need and more. Very tasteful and well done, so comfortable! The views are beautiful and there is a lovely walk from the cottage to Lanchester, where we ate at Ravellios Italian which was very good. A visit to Blanchland is a must! Thank you!

Thank you for creating this beautiful home. This place has been perfect for my mum, sister and me to stay and enjoy the area where we were born and grew up. It was so good to be here surrounded by everything you need for a wonderful mini break. Thank you!

You have done a wonderful job in renovating Number Nine and setting it up as a holiday home away from home. The location is fantastic for both tranquillity and convenience. We have enjoyed walking (and running) along the old railway in both directions. Lanchester is a lovely little village to visit and the walk towards Consett was handy for provisions from The Farm Shop and the supermarkets. We enjoyed visits to Durham Cathedral, Hartlepool (visiting a relative) and particularity Corbridge – a lovely place with numerous cafes, pubs and gift shops. Thank you for a lovely week.

Thanks Number Nine for a beautiful stay, excellent accommodation and perfectly maintained with luxury carefully chosen furnishings! Three girls had a lovely stay for three wonderful nights.
