Guest Feedback for Quay West
Our visitors’ book at Quay West is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.
Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Quay West.
We loved everything about the apartment. It was immaculate, modern and spacious. A huge thank you to Tony and his team for making our stay perfect.
We were so overwhelmed. The apartment was huge and comfortable enough for five people. It was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. We felt we were being so well looked after. We are already booking again for next year and recommending to all our friends.
We absolutely loved it! Stunning views, lovely hot tub and everything about the apartment was high spec.
Great location with a stunning outlook, this apartment is bright, colourful and comfortable. There was a balcony with a view over estuary and marina and had a spacious living area.
Amazing property, fantastic views, & perfect location. Tony was extremely helpful. Nothing was a problem. We loved our break. The welcome basket was a nice personal touch, with fresh scones & shortbread. We didn’t expect to receive as much as we did in the Welcome pack. We enjoyed everything from high quality bedding, to hot tub in the balcony. It was just perfect. Thank you.
This property was reasonably priced, in a perfect location, had a hot tub and was a well furnished apartment with lots of space. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the homemade scones and biscuits and jams.
Previous stay in Aug 2020 at the Penthouse – liked the location – got to know from the owner about Quay West and was intrigued to see it finished. We were met by owner Tony, who was very welcoming and he carried out a comprehensive orientation of the property. The homemade scones and biscuits were absolutely stunning and most welcome. It will be hard to beat the balcony/window views of marina and sea in distance. We enjoyed the quality quirky and contemporary decor, along with the furnishings – such attention to detail e.g. curtains/coordinating bedspreads. the “pops” of colour throughout. The kitchen was also superbly equipped.
Although Quay West was so new that it didn’t have a full complement of photographs, we were referred to another of the owner’s apartments to see the quality of accommodation that we could expect at Quay West. We were not disappointed. The apartment was amazing from the view overlooking the marina towards Warkworth Castle to the high quality linen and kitchen appliances. I could happily live there! We loved the attention to detail that included a lemon for a G&T and torches in the bedside drawers. The generous welcome pack contained local preserves, coffee, home made scones and shortbread that was divine! The apartment was far more spacious than the photos suggested, which is always a nice surprise. All three bedrooms were very spacious and very well appointed. The hot tub on the balcony was a great, weather proof way to watch the comings and goings on the marina. It was the perfect place to chill out. We can’t wait to return.
Amazing location and hot tub! The finish was excellent and there were smart TV’s in every room, we really liked the homemade cookies and wine provided.

We stayed in Amble last week at Cobble Quay. The house we had there was called Quay West. It is a fantastic property, with plenty of space and super views of the Marina too. There was a Welcome Pack waiting for us and, to put it simply, it was the best one we have ever received at ANY house we have rented. Everything had been thought of, which made settling in fast and hassle free. Thank you very much to the property owner. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he took us over the house showing us where everything was and how it worked. The house is only 200 yards from the nearest shops and amenities. Radcliffe’s Bistro is literally next to the property and is well worth a visit and not expensive either. Fantastic fixtures and fittings in the house, they were tasteful and high quality. Warm, comfortable beds and there was even a hot tub on the balcony, which was great for sitting in and watching the sun go down at night. You really should take a look at this property if you plan to visit Amble. There is nothing negative to report about this house. There is even a lift to help you get all your baggage up to the second floor. They have thought of everything. We will definitely be back again .We cannot recommend this property highly enough. Thank you to the Owner.
Amazing property, great location, peaceful, clean. Tony met us and showed us round. Very friendly and beautifully furnished apartment. We enjoyed the hot tub on the balcony! Oh and the very comfy beds!

Excellent service and information from the team at Coquet Cottages regarding our stay in Amble. They even sent an extensive list of restaurants in the area, which was very useful regarding pre-booking during these Covid times. Tony, the owner of the apartment was available to talk through how everything worked, including the hot-tub. Superb accommodation, with a number of surprises when we arrived. Fresh bread, cheese & fruit scones, jars of local jam and marmalade, tea and coffee, butter and even a lemon and ice in the freezer! Superb host. Will hopefully be back in 2021.

Very helpful owner who met us on arrival and was there when we left. We enjoyed the scones and biscuits. The property was comfortable because of its size and we liked there were several bathrooms.
