Guest Feedback for Sea View
Our visitors’ book at Sea View is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.
Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Sea View.
This is a beautiful cottage in an excellent location. The Cottage had absolutely everything we needed, it had lots of thoughtful touches. There was a lovely outdoor seating area to use on the warm nights. This is our second stay at this cottage and we will definitely visit again. We have been impressed with Coquet cottages and have recommended the company to others.
Very comfortable cottage in a great location. Everything we needed locally was available. This was the most comprehensive welcome basket we have ever had in any cottage. We loved it! There was high quality provisions, and the doggy welcome basket was wonderful! The conservatory was a gorgeous room, which we used a lot. We loved the fabulous easy walk from the doorstep down into Craster. The high quality furnishings were appreciated. There was a superb laundry room and outside storage, as well as the outside loo! There was also several different places to sit outside. This was our first stay in a Coquet Holidays cottage. We will most certainly be looking at your website first the next time we want to book a holiday in the area.
Delightful cottage and a great location to explore Northumberland. The property was so near Craster but away from hustle and bustle. The gardens were beautiful and private. Furnishings and things provided in the cottage made the holiday so very comfortable. Extremely well equipped, a pleasure to stay in. Home from home.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The beach walks were fantastic, we walked from Beadnell to Craster, from Craster to Alnmouth , Seahouses to Bamburgh and back. The local bus service is good too. Excellent food at The Jolly Fisherman, some places have not yet opened including The Fishing Boat Inn on the walk between Craster and Alnmouth.
We had a wonderful stay in this super cottage it was very well equipped, spotlessly clean and felt like home from home. We would definitely love to return as the location was perfect. Thank you!
Lovely cosy cottage. Even better than we thought it was going to be with an outdoor seating area and away from the main road. Right on the footpath to Craster.Everything was great quality. Lovely and warm and perfect for dogs.
Beautiful cottage, such a wonderful location and the walk down to Craster is absolutely delightful. We have had an amazing and restful time. Thank you.

A very comfortable property, finished to a high standard with everything we could possibly need. We were able to walk from the cottage to Craster and along the coastal path, it was a perfect weekend, thank you!

We had a wonderful two weeks in this lovely cottage. We enjoyed the views, the location and the plentiful visits to Craster. We have had some great meals out at The Old Boathouse, Amble and takeaway from the legendary Ship Inn at Low Newton. We had mixed weather but we love this part of the world!
Thank you for a lovely clean and comfortable cottage. Many thanks too for the generous welcome hamper, we would recommend Sea View without hesitation!

Lovely cottage, couldn’t pick fault with anything!
We have been visiting beautiful Northumberland for over 15 years and this is, by far, one of the best locations. Thank you for the hampers, they were a lovely surprise. We would love to return later in the year.
We had a lovely week, the cottage was wonderful, very well equipped and cosy. Had a nice meal at the Cottage Inn however a trip to the Craster Arms in Beadnell is a must, steak night is great value! Great walks and views, the dogs have enjoyed the beach, we will definitely be returning.
Lovely week walking directly out of the cottage to Craster and the pub lunches at the Jolly Fisherman. The usual favourites of Bamburgh beach and Alnmouth beach which ‘Frank’ the dog always loves. The cottage itself has been great with lovely utensils and pottery that make the stay even more enjoyable. Comfy beds and furniture and the log burning stove, what’s not to like? Will look forward to our next visit.

Lovely cottage with great facilities and location. We needed a booking very last minute and this was in the place we wanted to stay.
The welcome basket was a very pleasant surprise – and the dog basket as well. Location and conservatory
A beautiful location and a lovely cottage. We particularly enjoyed the walks on the coastal path. Many thanks for the welcome hamper, a nice touch.
What a beautiful property, we’ve really enjoyed our stay here. The welcome hamper is a nice touch.
Near the coast, 3 bedrooms, dogs welcome, nice looking furnishings. There was Something for everyone in the welcome basket, the doggie one was particularly nice. High quality furniture and kitchen equipment.
We’ve had a wonderful weekend at Sea View, which is a delightful, cosy and very comfortable cottage, won the quality and thoughtful touches that we’ve come to expect from Coquet Cottages. We had a lovely walk to Dunstanburgh Castle and into Craster, and a trip up to Bamburgh Beach. Lovely meals at both the Jolly Fisherman and the Ship Inn at Low Newton, and I have a beautiful memento in the form of earrings from Mick Oxleys gallery in Craster. We adore Northumberland and this was a perfect end to a post-Christmas holiday.
Great holiday home, beautiful location, clean and well equipped. We holiday in the UK all of the time and we think your service has been fantastic – thank you! Will definitely recommend this cottage to our friends, and your website.
A very well equipped and comfortable cottage in a beautiful place: We have had a wonderful holiday! I think that the lounge has everything you could possibly need – thank you! We were out for a lot of the time, but found the conservatory to be a lovely light, airy and comfortable place to sit when we came back. We enjoyed the walk to Craster and excellent food in the Jolly Fisherman. The fish and chips in the pub next to the cottage were also very good. We walked to Howick Hall; highly recommend a visit to the gardens. And the cliff and coastal path back to Craster was stunning. Equally beautiful the other way to Dunstanburgh Castle and beyond to Embleton beach (had a fantastic round of golf!). I’ve had a day up on the moors of the Linhope Estate – Six hours walking and met no one! Simply stunning, although in parts quite challenging. Worth driving to the Breamish Valley even if not a walker. All in all, another wonderful week in Beautiful Northumberland. Thank you!
Such a comfortable, homely cottage which was so well equipped. Great thought had gone into every comfort and need – very generous. I want to add what great customer service we received all through our booking and stay with Coquet Cottages. Thank you!
Brilliant venue – perfect for granparents, parent and grandchildren. Very well appointed, good to have the garden, high standard of decor and contents, great location. We were delighted with Coquet Cottages’ customer service, not only with the booking process but then also with the preparatory and welcome phone calls (much appreciated).
Lovely cottage, very comfortable. Beautifully appointed with everything we required to have a relaxing stay.
What a beautiful part of the world this is, it feels like we’ve left the UK. The people are so friendly and keen to have a chat. It’s been a breath of fresh air in so many ways. The cottage was perfect, a great base to explore the area… enjoyed trips to Alnwick and Warkworth… lots of walking at Bamburgh.
We were unfortunately let down on a cottage booking we had made on line with another provider. We contacted Coquet and they couldn’t have been more helpful, all the staff I’ve spoken to had been so friendly and helpful. We booked Seaview in Craster as it was just were we wanted to go, booked on the Sunday and arrived on the Monday so very short notice. Arrived at Seaview and what a lovely surprise to have a welcome box for us and the dog waiting along with fresh flowers! In the box there is bottled water, bottle of wine, beer, tea, coffee, chocolate, biscuits, fresh loaf, conserves as well as fresh milk and butter in the fridge! The Dog bag had towels, treat and poop bags. Just an illustration of the effort they go to and the thought put in. Seaview is a fantastic cottage set over 3 floors and finished to a very high standard. Lovely big conservatory, great kitchen with all you need (including a big range cooker). Lovely living room with log burner. 1st floor a double and a twin bedroom, a huge family bathroom with large bath and a wet room shower, sink and toilet. Up to the 2nd floor in the converted loft, there is a big double with en-suite, shower wet room with sink and toilet. Parking for 2 cars outside with a couple of outside places to sit and enjoy the peace and quite. The Ship Inn bar/restaurant is 2 minutes walk and Craster village with its bar and restaurants is about 10 minutes walk. Loads to do in the area and the people are very welcoming. Will definitely be using Coquet gain to book and would highly recommend them.
