Guest Feedback for The Coasthouse

Our visitors’ book at The Coasthouse is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in The Coasthouse.

This property was close to bars, beaches and a short drive to many beautiful places. We loved every minute of our weeks stay. The welcome hamper was above and beyond and the décor was stunning.

This was a beautifully presented property.

This was a wonderful week in Bamburgh and the surrounding areas. The cottage is ideal and was equipped with everything you could need. Great places to eat that we visited were The Potted Lobster, The Joiners Arms (Newton By the Sea) and The Jolly Fisherman. We kayaked on Beadnell beach which was fabulous, dolphins were also in the bay area. The castle is a must. We took a boat trip to see the seals with Serenity boats at Seahouses. We cycled and walked many places, and the weather was lovely. Thank you for being amazing hosts, We will be back. The garden is also an oasis and was greatly enjoyed.

This was a lovely cottage in a wonderful location. We had a fantastic week here with our two dogs, we did lots of long walks on the beach. The Potted Lobster is well worth the visit and was dog friendly. Beadnell Bay is a super beach and has easy access from the carpark. We have really enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again. Thank you.

This was a lovely stay with my mum, dad and brother. We paddle boarded in the sea, which was very quick and convenient to walk to. We had a lovely meal at The Potted Lobster and went to the Grace Darling museum. We had a lovely time.

Its been amazing in Bamburgh. The cottage was cosy and it has been a really nice holiday walking along the dunes and around the village. The Copper Kettle have the best scones (especially the gluten free ones). My sister spent a lot of time in the pod drawing and writing. When it was sunny, we used the hammock a lot. The puffin mugs were popular and my dad fell asleep in the reclining sofa. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

We had a lovely time in this super cottage, thank you for equipping it so well. It’s definitely the best cottage we’ve stayed in. We had some lovely walks along the beach. A particular highlight of the holiday was the scones at The Copper Kettle in Bamburgh. We will be back.

A lovely weekend break in a beautiful part of the country, it had everything you could need and more. We enjoyed the beach, especially the boys who loved it! Many thanks, and hope to see you again soon.

Thanks for a lovely stay in this fantastic cottage. This must be the best kitted out and luxurious cottage we have stayed in. The goodies on arrival were a nice touch, plus the baskets of treats and blankets for Alfie (our Border Terrier!) The garden is lovely both front and back, which is secure and private. As the weather was so hot we didn’t use the pod, which was one of the reasons for booking here, so maybe we can use this next time. Thank you for the welcome call David, it was nice to meet you. Thanks again.

We had such a good experience at Coasthouse, the hosts were generous, helpful and have thought of everything to make the holiday here as wonderful as possible. We will return, Tilly (Our Cockerpoo) loves it here. Thank you.

We have had a lovely week at Coast Cottage. It is in a superb location, and the coastline is wonderful. The cottage had everything we wanted and more. The garden pod is a real novelty, you can sit in the garden in all weathers. Thank you, David for the tip about the Wyndings. We had some fabulous walks to Seahouses, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster and Beadle Bay. We also visited Cragside. We would recommend eating at The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh and enjoyed the Crab and Prawn Sandwiches at The Jolly Fisherman in Craster. The Pantry and the butcher sin Bamburgh was excellent. We will be back again to visit next year.

We had a brilliant stay in the amazing Coasthouse. Very well equipped and immaculate. We didn’t want to leave! It was faultless and we hope to return. Thank you to all concerned.

The Coasthouse was beautiful, with everything we could possibly need. We had a fantastic holiday, it was like a home from home!
