Our visitors’ book at The Drift House is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.
Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in The Drift House.
Very good quality interior, in a quiet location, five minutes from beach.
There were three decent sized bedrooms at the property. There was a outdoor seating and dining area, which was south facing. The property was modern and the notices round the house helped us to know what to be aware of. The text messages from the owners were a very nice touch, and Peter and Lisa were very helpful in providing information to allow us to start planning our holiday before we arrived. We enjoyed the properties location, it had lots of natural light and had easy access to the beach and the village. The cottage has a very calm feel to it, and we loved that the décor which is fresh and modern. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with you again.
The Drift House looked amazing on the website and was close to the coast, and on arrival the accommodation was exceptional. The owner also gave us plenty of information about the area, along with flowers which were a lovely touch. We thought the property was of high spec and enjoyed our stay.
Beautiful cottage. Excellent facilities. Would have chosen everything in the cottage just as it was presented, there was not one thing I would change, simply beautiful. Personal and generous welcome basket.
Totally amazed on arrival, your cottage is stunning. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise and greatly appreciated. Great location, cottage exceeded expectations. Our girlie catch up stepped up several notches, none of us wanted to leave. We will definitely be back!
What a beautiful house! We all had extreme house envy after our stay! We have had a lovely stay in Northumberland and enjoyed exploring the coastline and towns in the area. Looking forward to returning in the summer months to fully appreciate the gorgeous beaches. Many thanks.
Wow! What a wonderful holiday home and the most stunning location right next to the beach. Your house has everything you need for a relaxing break ‘away-from-it-all’. We packed in so much to our 6 days – Bamburgh Castle and beach walk, Saltwater Cafe, St Ebba Churnch Armistice/Remembrance Service, birdwatching, walks to Newton Links, Seahouses and further afield. Holy Island (Pilgrams Cafe & St Mary’s church a must visit) and lots of Netflix catch-ups!! Thank you so much – we plan to return with our 3 daughters in the future.
Wonderfully tranquil setting, location and stunning surroundings of this beautiful house. The Drift House is certainly a holiday paradise. Gorgeous furnishings and decor weather was generally kind and mild for the winter and we spent as much of our time time indoors as we did exploring the most vibrant county and coastline that Northumberland has to offer. Exploring the spoilt gem of ‘Low Newton’ attempting to walk along the shore/coastline to Dunstanburgh, even enjoyed the local delicacies at Craster Arm. Thank you, we hope to return.
Beautiful house, amazing location close to the beach. Thank you for the welcome goodies, the scones especially went down a treat after a long drive. We enjoyed morning walks on the beach and building sandcastles with our grandson. The train set kept him occupied at all times when we were in. We especially enjoyed Alnwick Gardens and dinner at The Treehouse was our favourite.. also The Percy Arms!
Thank you for a wonderful holiday! The Drift House is simply stunning. So well equipped and beautifully decorated. The surrounding area is great, gorgeous beaches and lots to do. The Saltwater Cafe is definitely worth a visit – the seafood platter is amazing. We will be back.
We stayed at the Drift House for a week over New Year. Overall, a fantastic experience. The quality of the accommodation was exceptional, spotlessly clean and well equipped the house felt like it was brand new. The location is amazing, 2 minutes walk to Beadnell Bay and a great beach on a new development. Overall, I would highly recommend Coquet Cottages and the Drift House, we will certainly return.
Absolutely fantastic stay, The Drift House is stunning. It was so comfortable and stylish. The fresh home made scones, butter and the fresh flowers were also a nice surprise in our welcome basket.
