Guest Feedback for The Pelican Loft
Our visitors’ book at The Pelican Loft is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.
Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in The Pelican Loft.
What a lovely place to stay, both The Pelican Loft and the village. The weather has been very kind for this time of year, and we have visited some fantastic places. My favourite place was Rothbury and the walk in the National Park. Thank you to the owner and Coquet Cottages, everything has been superbly arranged and great interaction from all parties involved.
The property is stylish, comfortable & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Warkworth. Our dealings with your company were excellent and comprehensive. The bin reminder is a good idea!
Really lovely high spec property. Great location. There was only 2 of us but spacious enough for 4. Great bed!
Another fabulous week in Northumberland and The Pelican Loft, which has been a great place to stay. It was beautifully fitted and had a huge comfy bed. We had an excellent meal in The Old Boathouse (pre booking is essential). We went to Felton for the first time as the yarn shop is a knitters paradise. We also discovered The Running Fox along with some lovely walks. St Michaels church was very interesting too. We will be back.
We have enjoyed a wonderful week in this beautiful part of the country. The weather was great for walking and we have done lots. We enjoyed coastal walks along the beach to Alnmouth, Craster and stocked up on kippers. We also visited Bamburgh and further inland to Wooler. The Pelican Loft has been a lovely luxurious home for the week. We would like to thank the owners and Coquet Cottages for all their attention to detail; lovely delicious welcome pack and the text regarding the early arrival. W won’t hesitate to return.
The Pelican Loft is situated in a good location and comfortable surroundings.
Lovely property, ideally situated in the centre of Warkworth. Tastefully furnished and superbly equipped. Very comfortable. Friendly locals, lovely beach and plenty of places to eat out – and we did!
Fabulous apartment beautifully stylised to a high specification, the property was so comfortable even the bed. Everything you could have needed had all been provided and all with a touch of luxury. We would recommend Alnwick Gardens, Bamburgh and Warkworth beaches. We had a lovely meal at The Warkworth Hotel and Bertrams. There were too many excellent restaurants so we did not bother to cook. Lovely shopping in Warkworth especially Grays. There was also so many walks right on the front door. We always go home so relaxed.
We’ve had a wonderful stay at Pelican loft. The décor was right up up our street and it felt very luxurious which is what we like on holiday. The loft had everything that we needed and the welcome hamper was much appreciated. It’s been our first stay with Coquet cottages after a friend recommended and we will definitely look to stay with you again.
Absolutely lovely apartment in a perfect setting. There was a nice mix of useful items and treats. Many thanks.
Beautiful, tasteful and well appointed property. All the communication given was very helpful and efficient. Thanks to all that made our holiday possible.
We booked this property because it had a central location, was so easy access to beaches, supermarkets and had lots of food places to eat on the doorstep. It was also suitable for 3 people and a dog. We loved the location, the décor, the bed which was super comfy and the breakfast bar.
We enjoyed Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh and the walk from Craster to The Ship. Top tip have plenty of £1 coins for the parking or look for the meter that takes contactless and there is usually one in each car park.

Beautiful property in the heart of our favourite village. Tasteful décor and very comfortable a lovely property to spend some time in. Location perfect for local shops and pubs. It was great that it had 2 king sized beds as we visit as 2 couples. We regularly visit Northumberland and the luxury and comfort of the accommodation far exceeded those we have stayed at with other companies.
