Guest Feedback for Wren Cottage

Our visitors’ book at Wren Cottage is great to read through over a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and provide a wealth of recommendations on the best places to eat and visit, as well as some useful tips to benefit other guests. We also send Guest Surveys to all our guests after their holiday and some of their comments are listed here too.

Many guests have listed recommendations for the same lovely places, such as Warkworth Beach, Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books, Holy Island and the Farnes, but for the sake of avoiding repetition in this particular format, we have omitted these recommendations, but they can still be read in full in the visitors’ books in Wren Cottage.

Wren Cottage is located brilliantly and the cottage was fantastic! We had such a wonderful few days in such a beautiful property with extremely comfortable beds, bedding and a great shower! The welcome treats were very much appreciated too. It was like a home from home (actually nicer than our home!). Beautifully furnished, decorated and very clean. We loved everything about it and had four tremendous nights sleep!

Wren Cottage was very comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean in a fabulous part of the world with lots to explore, see and do! The welcome basket was lovely, we really enjoyed the bread!

Beautiful cottage in a fabulous location! Warkworth beach is within walking distance. This has been the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. The fresh bread and milk were the best items in the welcome basket and we really appreciated the basket.

Tastefully furnished, well equipped and very clean property set in a lovely quiet area but within easy walking distance of Warkworth. The beds were very comfortable and the towels and all furnishings were of good quality. Everything that was necessary had been provided. Most importantly it was very clean.

Beautifully decorated and furnished property. Lovely and comfortable, it was also very well equipped. The property is in a great location and easy to walk into town and to the beach. It has a very comfortable lounge and bedrooms. We had a wonderful holiday and it was lovely to return to this relaxing, peaceful cottage.

Very comfortable and ideally situated to explore the wonderful castles, beaches and small towns.

Wren Cottage was in a great location and suited us just fine. It had a peaceful setting and had an easy walk into the village. We enjoyed the wine! oh, and the bread that was very tasty too – it was just right.

An attractive beautifully decorated cottage. Listed as Four Star Gold. We returned because it’s comfortable, attractive décor with a lovely kitchen and a very good shower The location is excellent and we found the owner, Jodie, extremely warm, friendly and very helpful. The property was beautifully painted with relaxing tones. Comfortable and had a good tv!

We found the property cosy, convenient and had a central position. I really liked the company and the staff were very helpful beforehand.

Wren Cottage is a fabulous place to relax as a family. We enjoyed walks around Warkworth and Dunstanburgh Castles as well as the lovely Warkworth beach, before coming back to the welcoming warmth of the cottage.

The cottage has been a warm and cosy base to come back to. We have discovered some of Northumberland’s hidden gems but Warkworth really is the jewel in the crown.

Everything about the cottage is just perfect. The decor is gorgeous, there are lovely little touches everywhere, very comfortable and fab outdoor furniture. We’ve had a fabulous week.

We had a great holiday staying at Wren Cottage. Perfect location for walking to the beach and Warkworth village. The cottage is beautifully furnished, cosy and a comfortable home from home! We have already booked for next year.

Very pleased with our stay. Well appointed and clean. The welcome basket was a nice touch. Liked the flowers and cake – made it look homely and country like! Very happy.

We’ve had a lovely stay. The cottage was really equipped for the twins and they have loved the books, toys, games and outdoor space. The rooms are clean, it’s spacious. Absolutely perfect for us, really peaceful but a stones throw from the pubs and cafes. I e-mailed to ask for advice about which cottage would be best to accommodate children who may need to sleep in travel cots (thankfully they slept in the beds and we brought our own roll guards). The correspondence via email from the Reservations Team was fantastic. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

We have just returned home from a wonderful stay in this delighful cottage. We so enjoyed our visit and love the Northumberland coast and countryside. Warkworth is a very unique place and we also visited Cragside House, Alnwick Gardens (enjoyed delicious lunch in The Treehouse!), Amble, Alnmouth, Low Newton, Seahouses, Bamburgh! Hopefully we’ll be back again next year. Please once again thank Jodie for agreeing to the extra night, it made our stay perfect.

We stayed at Wren cottage in Warkworth and the cottage was great, really high standard of decoration, had everything you needed and a lovely welcome hamper,
The booking process was very easy and there are loads of other lovely cottages to choose from, a bit pricier than others but in my opinion totally worth it. Will definitely be staying with Coquet Cottages again.

We are just back from our fifth break with Coquet Cottages (and second in Wren), staying at the lovely Wren Cottage in Warkworth. This little two bed house has everything you need for a warm and comfortable stay. The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge is really cosy, and the bedrooms really warm and comfortable. We had trips to Bamburgh, Embleton and Seahouses and a couple of meals in the Masons Arms in Warkworth – where they serve a great pint of Moretti. I was up for a sunrise trip in Alnmouth, which I recommend, but not a great deal of walking this holiday due to a broken knee. The steps for the different levels in the cottage made this a challenge and may be a challenge for the less firm on reflection, but last time I visited I was more able so it wasn’t a problem. Great contact from the owner and a lovely welcome basket with wine and flowers and a cake! Much appreciated for someone feeling a bit sorry for herself so thanks!

Wren Cottage had a fantastic welcome basket and the fresh flowers in the cottage which we arrived to were just lovely. It had everything you needed, and felt like a home from home.

A perfect base for a brilliant Bank Holiday weekend!

The cottage was beautiful and we were blown away by the area!

Beautiful cottage, our first holiday in Northumberland but won’t be our last!

After decades of holidays with family and friends, we know this coastline pretty well. Lovely cottage, perfectly equipped for our needs.

Enjoyed our stay at Wren Cottage. Loved the colour schemes and furnishings.

Wonderful, fabulous cottage. We’ve had a magical break – so much to explore within a few miles of the house. We’ve had such a warm and friendly welcome everywhere. Thank you.

The beds… Ahh the beds! Amazing, where are they from? No seriously, where can I get one?

The decor was fresh modern and cosy. Colour pallet they have used is just perfect, it just looked really clean and not too big for three of us.

Gorgeous super king size bed, comfortable bedding and fab towels. The way the cottage was decorated was beautiful, really tasteful.
