This striking holiday home enjoys a tucked-away location in the picturesque coastal village of Alnmouth. The property welcomes six guests and has ample space both indoors and outside for family and friends to spread out and relax. Alnmouth is a vibrant village on the Northumberland coast with a good range of independent cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Alnmouth Beach is wide and sandy, and welcomes four-pawed visitors all year, offering the perfect spot for family picnics and outdoor games. For keen walkers, the long-distance Oswald’s Way and the Northumberland Coast Path pass through the village. Further afield, enjoy day trips to the pretty fishing village of Seahouses (16 miles), or lose yourself on the remote Holy Island of Lindisfarne (30 miles). You’ll be within easy reach of some of Northumberland’s top attractions, including Bamburgh Castle (19 miles) and Alnwick Castle (5 miles).

The coastal retreat provides a unique backdrop to your holiday, featuring statement furniture, gorgeous artwork, and bespoke design elements throughout. Large windows flood the property with natural light and frame fabulous views. From the hallway, where you’ll find space to store coats and shoes, head through to the open-plan living space. Here, you’ll find a cosy lounge area with comfortable leather sofas arranged around a Smart TV and a roaring wood burner, along with bi-fold doors opening onto the garden. To the rear of the room is a sleek kitchen area with glossy units and a collection of high-spec appliances for preparing feasts for the group – there is also an island with bar stools. For formal gatherings, there is a large dining table with chairs and bench-style seating. A separate snug provides an alternative spot for reading a book, watching TV, or playing games. On this level, there is a shower room with a rainfall shower, and the ground floor is also home to a tranquil double bedroom with garden access. Upstairs, you’ll find a second double bedroom with a picture window looking out across the estuary. The remaining bedroom, a king-size, also boasts spectacular views through a glass door, which opens out onto a private balcony. This room also has a large en-suite shower room. All three bedrooms have rustic wooden furniture, plush linens, and plenty of storage. Completing the first floor is an impressive family bathroom with a free-standing bath.

Bi-fold doors from the living space open onto an enclosed, wrap-around garden with a sunny patio area with furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining, plus a lawn where children can play. The property has private parking for one small car, with additional on-street parking subject to availability.

This is a beautiful place. Fantastically located, within easy walking distance to Pubs, shop and beach. Love the outdoor space and wood burning stove. Nearby beaches are wonderful and there are plenty of really good restaurants especially in Amble - Jaspers, The Old Boat House. Staying at Waleric House is truly special.

The state of the glass in the windows, particularly the bifold doors is disappointing.

A fabulous house to stay in, so well equipped, we wanted for nothing. The welcome pack was more than anywhere else we have ever stayed-it was so good. Even the dogs got treats. Great location in a beautiful village, beach & pubs on the doorstep. Good garden too. Parking was interesting but we got used to it. We had the best week.
